Road Trip Song of the Day (7/14)

Today when Mrs. G. was driving to Peninsula, Ohio to meet up with Debra and Kate, she was listening to NPR. Scott Simon was interviewing the guy (she forgets his name) who handles the equipment for the band FUN. Scott asked him what was the one Fun. song that electrified the crowd every concert and he said this one. When Scott Simon played it, Mrs. G. cranked up the volume, and if she hadn't been behind the wheel, would have held up a Bic lighter and waved it back and forth.

Best Road Song of the Day (6/21)...The Serial Killer Anthem

Mrs. G. isn't up on much music produced past 1985, but several generous derfs made her music CDs for the trip. Mrs. G. feels like she is leaving bits of herself behind as she flies 75 down the highway singing some of these songs at the top of her lungs, while drive dancing.

This song, by Jonathan Coulton, is a little nutty and a lot funny. Who doesn't want a half pony/half monkey?

Rest assured Mrs. G. isn't using her road trip music as blog filler. She is only posting songs that made her scream YEAH after listening to them at least five times, songs that moved her.
