What are "Duchy stem ginger cookies coated in dark chocolate."? They sound yummy. I might adopt them as my guilty pleasure.
1) Did you every write anyone fan mail when you were a kid? Nope
2) What was the first R rated movie you ever saw? Eyes of Laura Mars. Some scary serial killer movie.
3) Current guilty pleasure? Napping in the middle of the day when I should probably be getting something done around the house.
4) Favorite film character (not actor, character)? Can't think of anyone.
5) If you have children, what is your favorite book you've read to them out loud? Go Dog Go. Been years since I've read it but still have it memorized.
6) Worst book you were forced to read in school? The Scarlet Letter. Not sure if I hated the book as much as I hated the teacher. We always said she was a witch from Puritan times. It was the early 80's and she wore dark tights, corduroy skirts, turtle necks and old lady shoes. The only skin showing was on her hands and face. Never seen anyone who just always looked uptight.
7) What three things can always be found in your fridge? Cheese, milk and salad makings.
8) What time is bed time? Usually around 11:00.
9) What was the name of your first pet? Missy. She was not a kid friendly dog. She went to stay with my aunt while we were in Europe for 6 weeks, she and my aunt got along well, so she stayed with my aunt. My parents were happy to be rid of her.
10) Do you give in easily? I do now. Self confidence gone, so I tend to give in.
11) Is there a color you don't feel comfortable wearing? Brown
12) What is the oldest item you own? Well, our family cottage was built in the 1880's, pretty sure that pre-dates anything else I own. Other than that I have a few items that my great-great grandmother made in the early 1900's. Beautiful quits and things that she embroidered.
1. Yes, but I am embarrassed by who it was though they did write back!
2. The Omen, on a date. I hate horror movies, he knew it and I left somewhere in the middle and never went out with him again even though he was dumb enough to keep asking!
3. A friend's very wicked sense of humor. I have needed it lately and he has not let me down.
4. For the clothes and time period, her courage and dignity, Out of Africa's Karin Von Blitzen. You want to be her , minus the std!!! And my good God! Could some man pleeeease wash my hair like Robert Redford did for her?!!! The dancing wouldn't hurt either!
5. I asked Shaggy haired Boy this question since he is fresh from the hospital and he said hands down "The Other Side of the Mountain & Frightful's Mountain" we read them together more than once and he has a special connection to the peregrins that nest near us. He calls and they answer, it is very cool to watch.
6. Beowolf or The Hounds of Baskerville, hands down THE worst.
7. Milk, yogurt, feta cheese and vegetables, lots and lots of vegetables!
8. 11-12pm
9. Whiskers - a calico cat with a sly sense of humor, Katie and Yip two Wire Hair Terriers that hated each other but were hysterical to watch their maneuvers.
10. I think I am good at mutual compromise so that no one feels like they gave in all the way. But if need be, I can be intractable!
11. Orange, I have red hair and pinkish skin, so...not a good combo!
12. I like old stuff and most of our house is filled with it. What is the oldest? probably a piece of silver that is english and I think is early 1700's if we read the mark right. Came from my husband's side of the family and it fits the time they came to the US.

4. Marge " Oh, for Pete's sake " Gunderson! HOWEVER, I'd have to say that Navin R. Johnson is running a pretty close race.
