Spike and Penny
Gary describes it as a nice medium sized blue bowl with hand painted cats on it, about 7+ inches in diameter at the top and 4+ inches tall. I threw the bowl on the wheel then glazed inside blue and painted the cats (like my cat Spike!) outside and then covered it with clear glaze, fired to 2200 degrees. maybe the cutest cat bowl EVER! OK in microwave and dishwasher.

So cute! After losing both a cat and dog this fall (ages 16 and 13, respectively), we got a new kitten to annoy our lonely 15 year-old cat. She has yet to completely approve of the situation, but she's warming to it. Maybe this bowl will be the uniting factor!
LOVE LOVE LOVE Gary's pottery! Currently on the counter waiting to be washed is a cat mug and a snake mug (special request purchase several years ago that continues to make SnakeMaster happy to this very day) -- and an adorable bunny bowl that holds our hot cocoa packets stays on the counter all winter long (it holds jelly beans for Easter).
If I win this sweet cat bowl, I will gift it to my sister, who shares her home with many cats and a couple of special needs doggies, too. It would go so very nicely with the shirt I got for her: "Oops, I just adopted another cat!"

Beautiful work. My daughter has been taking ceramics in school and made a cup for her dad for Christmas. She had some issues with the paint chipping and was disappointed, but i think she did an amazing job on the design. Gary does amazing work and i greatly admire him. For his work and his obvious love for his wife.
