Mrs. G,

Brace yourself. I know you already have a bit of a girl crush on me. What I am about to tell you will shock and amaze you.

I am from the same hometown as one Joni Mitchell, in fact we went to the same high school and shared the same gym locker, years apart. The song you posted, "River", is about the river in that very town, the river that runs, quite literally - through my backyard. That river is a spit away from where I am sitting right now. Joni's river. The one from the Christmas song. Me and Joni. And the river. That one.
