Derf Assist List > Cleveland Visit

My husband gave me tickets to see Jersey Boys at the State Theater in Cleveland, OH. We are going in May on a Tuesday night. Can any Derfs help me with some info on Downtown Cleveland? Good restaurants, best area to stay the night. Where to park the car? Is the Rock and roll Hall of Fame worth the visit? Other things to do or see in Cleveland. Thanks for any help.

I haven't been to Cleveland in over 20 years, but I do know that in Historical Theatre Restoration circles, the State Theatre and its companion theatres in Playhouse Square are supposed to be outstanding examples of historic theatres. I wish I could see them with you!

I'm excited about that too! Funny thing, I've lived in the Midwest for 63 years and I have never been to Cleveland. This little trip is one of the best Christmas gifts DH has ever given me.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is enjoyable...especially so if you're a fan.....a friend lives in Twinsburg, so I've visited her....can't remember restaurants...but know Diners, Drive Ins and Dives has been there several times....the one that seems good to me has the word Cafe in it.....big help, not....but it's a nice place.....
